Can you pick the difference between these two logos? Someone, apparently, couldn’t. Computer giant Apple is threatening legal action against the supermarket chain Woolworths over their new logo. The new woolworths logo (on the left) is, according to woolworths, a “stylized ‘w’ or a piece of fresh produce”. Apple disagrees. They’re launching a claim insisting that the Woolworths logo is too similar. It’s not surprising, given the recent venture by woollies into mobile phones, that Apple is concerned about their territory. But seriously Apple! I didn’t even see the resemblance until you pointed it out, and even now I don’t think the two logos are anything alike! Are Woolworths loosing any sleep over this? I think not.
