It all started when Apple refused to allow Flash to run on their iOS platform. We are seeing a decline in the amount of Flash around the web. Many have declared the platform ‘dead’ and have pushed for HTML5 to replace it.   Windows Live Writer is Microsoft’s answer to blogging from your desktop, and from what I can see, it works pretty well. The interface is clean and simple, and it can detect your blog’s theme, so you can see what your post will look like on the web (although the sidebar or header isn’t shown whilst writing, you can see it in preview mode). It supports most of the popular blogging platforms including Blogger and WordPress. Windows Live writer is easy to use, clean and simple, and makes for a great blog publishing platform.
